The Impossible Cloud Network token (ICNT) is essential to the Impossible Cloud Network (ICN) ecosystem.
It is used to access network resources, reward network participants and secure the network - and set apart by its direct connection to a flourishing B2B business.
This document illustrates how the token is expected to be distributed. It also discusses Impossible Cloud Network's annual token release plan and the economic strategies behind it. With a token design for versatility, growth and fairness in mind, the distribution of the total supply after five years (fully diluted) is 1,000 million tokens.
700M token are part of the initial supply and the remaining 300M can be minted over time.
Revealing our Protocol
A Golden Opportunity in the Cloud The cloud service ecosystem of today is unquestionably a walled garden, partitioned, cultivated, and owned by a few well-resourced tech companies. By 2031, experts project that this rapidly expanding cloud industry will reach an astonishing $2.5 to $2.7 trillion. Major companies such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform primarily dominate cloud services such as data storage, computing, and networking, comprising about 65% of the market share and leading to significant and potentially undesirable consequences. Cutting-edge technologies such as generative AI, edge computing, 5G, VR/AR, and real-time analytics create significant demand and present new challenges for cloud infrastructure and services. Web3 technologies, encompassing smart contracts, peer-to-peer networks, cryptography, and blockchain systems, offer potential solutions to these cloud-related challenges. Blockchains, in particular, enable incentive alignment, opening the door to creating self-organizing ecosystems consisting of numerous smaller participants who can jointly compete with larger entities. Recently, DePINs emerged to symbolize a natural progression in the evolution of decentralized networks and services.
Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Networks (DePINs) utilize blockchain and decentralized technologies to efficiently and securely manage physical infrastructure assets. This approach redefines the roles of various participants and lowers entry barriers for suppliers and consumers.
