How to obtain funds (WETH/ETH) into your self-custody wallet: Step-by-Step Guide

To start, head over to node.icn.global. This is where you’ll manage everything related to your ICN node purchase.

Click on “Connect Your Wallet.” If you don’t have a self-custody wallet yet, you’ll need to create one. ICN supports a variety of wallets, so choose one that works best for you and set it up.

Connect your wallet

Step 2: KYC

We encourage all users to complete KYC to ensure a smooth purchasing experience. Please follow the KYC steps provided below.

However, last-minute buyers on the Arbitrum blockchain are allowed to purchase up to 3.1 ETH without completing the KYC process.

During your purchase there might be the need to reload the page. This should not impact your purchase.

How does KYC work?

The node sale is not live yet. Completing KYC now will verify your identity and ensure you are ready when it opens. The Base blockchain sale requires KYC verification. Your identity will be linked to the wallet you connect during the KYC process.

Ensure KYC is completed before making your sale purchase. KYC is not open to users from the U.S., China and sanctioned countries.

Step 3: Ensure Your Wallet Has Funds (Get WETH!)

Before proceeding, make sure your wallet is funded with WETH on Base or Arbitrum. You’ll also need enough Base or Arbitrum ETH (ETH Gas Fee) to complete the node purchase transaction. Double-check your balance to avoid any interruptions.

If you don’t have a self-custody wallet or wrapped ETH visit this guide first.

Step 4: Set Your Network and Complete the Transaction

For the ICN node transaction, your wallet’s network must be set to either Base or Arbitrum. This step is crucial to ensure the transaction is processed correctly.

Once your wallet is connected, funded, and configured, you’re ready to purchase your ICN node. Follow the instructions on the platform to finalize the transaction.

During your purchase there might be the need to reload the page. This should not impact your purchase.

How do I Complete the Transaction

The node sale is not live yet. The previous video was recorded in the ICN Testing environment. Therefore the blockchain used is a testing-blockchain, Arbitrum Sepolia and the testing-currency used is IWETH. After the node sale is live the Blockchains will be Base and Arbitrum and the currency will be WETH (Wrapped Ethereum).

Congratulations! You’re an ICN Node Owner

After completing the transaction, you officially become an ICN node owner! Welcome to the network. You will shortly receive your ICN passport NFT into your wallet.
